What this site collects
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This notice explains, in plain terms, what information is collected when you visit notmanrivera.com or write to me, what it is used for, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Rubén Núñez Rivera — NotMan Rivera
Querétaro, Mexico
hola@notmanrivera.com
What is collected
Two different things, through two different routes:
- Browsing data. When the site loads, it records your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, time spent, the site you came from, and any campaign parameters (UTM) carried by the link you arrived through.
- Data you provide. If you write to me by email or WhatsApp: your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you include in the message.
Two technical events are also recorded: when someone clicks a contact link — the click itself, not the content of whatever you write afterwards — and when someone lands on a broken route, so it can be fixed.
What it is used for
- Understanding which parts of the portfolio get looked at, and improving the site accordingly.
- Measuring whether the introduction emails I send to agencies and prospective clients actually lead anyone to view the work.
- Answering your enquiry and following up on it.
- Detecting and fixing technical errors.
Data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used for targeted advertising or to build profiles for third parties.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets Google's own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) lasting up to two years. They exist to tell visits apart and measure sessions.
You can prevent this in three ways, and the site works exactly the same in all of them:
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
- Use any tracker-blocking extension.
Client reviews
If I asked you for a review and you fill in the form at /resena/ with your personal link, what you write is stored: name, role, company, how we worked together, the review text and, if you provide it, your LinkedIn profile.
- What for. To publish the review on this site with your name, role and company, linking your name to your LinkedIn if you gave it. Nothing else.
- With your permission. It is only published if you checked the authorization box in the form. Before publishing I only fix spelling, capitalization and punctuation; the content stays as you wrote it.
- Where it is stored. In a Google spreadsheet in my account. The form is received by a Google Apps Script, so your IP address reaches Google when you send it.
- How to withdraw it. Write to me at hola@notmanrivera.com and I will remove it from the site and delete your form data.
Third parties involved
- Google. Processes the analytics and serves the Inter typeface from its servers; your IP address reaches Google through both when the page loads.
- Cloudflare. Hosts the site and processes every request, including technical logs and abuse protection.
Both operate servers outside Mexico. There are no data transfer arrangements with any other provider.
How long it is kept
Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics 4 configuration, which defaults to fourteen months. Email and WhatsApp correspondence is kept for as long as there is a working relationship or an open conversation; you can ask for it to be deleted at any point.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, and object to its use — known as ARCO rights under Mexican law. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of them, simply write to hola@notmanrivera.com and say what you need. There is no form and no procedure: I reply within twenty working days at most.
Changes to this notice
Any change is published on this same page, with the update date at the top. There is no other notification channel, so if this matters to you it is worth checking back occasionally.
