Hugo González: digital image for a professional goalkeeper
Personal social media branding and digital image for the Mazatlán FC goalkeeper during his time at the club, as part of the Victorem Sports Marketing team — content timed to every relevant match of the season, Liga MX and Leagues Cup.
Pieces in motion
The graphics above are single frames from pieces that move. These are two complete ones, as they went out on social — with their audio and their timing.
My role
Design, compositing and animation, end to end. Every piece in this case was produced by me; the work shipped under the name of Victorem Sports Marketing, the agency I was with at the time.
The brief
Hugo González played as a professional goalkeeper for Mazatlán FC. As part of the Victorem Sports Marketing team, the brief was to maintain his digital image on his personal social media during that time at the club: the player's own branding, not official club content, timed to every relevant match of the season — Liga MX and Leagues Cup, the tournament that pits Mexican and U.S. clubs against each other.
Match by match
Each piece follows the same pattern: the goalkeeper's presence in the match, the result, a recap — repeated against Tijuana, Puebla, Monterrey, Pachuca, Necaxa and Juárez, plus two editions of Leagues Cup.
One animated video for every significant match of the season. Not a launch piece — sustained presence across Liga MX and Leagues Cup, matchday after matchday, throughout his time at the club.
Why personal branding matters
A professional player isn't just their role on the pitch — their personal brand is part of their commercial value. Sustaining it consistently, match after match across an entire season, is exactly the kind of work a sports agency provides for the athletes it represents.
